Because the kids shouldn't have all the fun...
Work is crazy-busy right now, so the 10 blog posts I have written in my head are going to have to wait a little longer. I did manage to find a little time for some personal crafting, whipping up this Pinterest-inspired wreath for my newly painted front door.
I found the tutorial for fabric rosettes on Little Birdie Secrets. Once you get the hang of twisting the fabric, it's a quick and easy project. The wreath was hiding in my attic and all the fabric was from previous projects, so this project cost me nothing.
I think it looks great on my new bright blue door! Our black door bugged me from the day we moved in, but this new color makes me smile every time I pull into the driveway.
I can't say it looked as good on my dog... or as pawprints on my hardwood floors, oriental rug, or tiled kitchen!
With some elbow grease, and a little help from a neighbor, I was able to get it all up. Although the dog still looks a little smurf-like. :)

ReplyDeleteVery cute!! Our new house is white with black shutters and door and I'm thinking our door will need a fun color too. Red maybe?
ReplyDeleteNow, my only question is...where is the adult book to go along with this project? :)
That does look really nice.
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I think you should paint it a different color every year. That would be a hilarious story for the neighborhood. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's so pretty. A wreath has been on my to-do list for the past 5 years...maybe I'll give this a try. And that blue dog is just hilarious. :)

ReplyDeleteLove the impact with the blue door! I wrote a tutorial on how to make a wreath from different types of vines in the garden and featured yours as a great way to dress it up. http://gardentherapy.ca/diy-grapevine-wreath/
